15/3/2016

We had a good meeting on March 7th making plans for the future. Here is a summary of our deliberations.
  1. Church leaflet: Bill will input proof changes with Christine; Elaine and others will sort missing photos; someone will liaise directly with Christine over final proof and print
  2. Insurance: £65 will cover membership of the British Association of Local History Societies and include insurance for walks, talks, exhibitions, etc. Sounds ideal. (Decision at next meeting, April 4)
  3. Programme: (all organisers to get text and pics to Christine for posters)
    1. April 27, River Wye talk at The Barrells with Heather Hurley
    2. April 30, Pop in to the Pavilion Day during the River Carnival and meet/record with BHG. (Pete will confirm venue; Huw, Lorna, David, Linda, Bill, Linden, Christine and Amy (if available) will help; Christine and Linda will prepare display boards at Pavilion the evening before; Pete - projector; Bill laptop; Christine and/or David - scanner
    3. May 17th June Chris Atkins on Dinedor (Linda to book Barrells)
    4. June 18: BHG History Walk
    5. Other dates: September 18 & 19, History Day. Bill to find out more
  4. Huw is to research at HARC for more local material for the website
  5. Huw, Bill, Jason, Amy and Pete to meet with Rob to review website
  6. Swift discussion took place on the need for a hard copy local publication
  7. Next meeting April 4, The Volly, 7.30
